Our clients enjoy the personal touch we provide through the entire, planning, design, construction & Permitting Process. Our sales and engineer team will help you design a wonderful structure that will bring family enjoyment for years to come. We handle all Joint Application Permits for our clients.

F.A.Q: Do you help with pier design?
Yes, pier design is a personal preference. Our team will help to inspire you. Don’t settle for the traditional “T” head pier. What function would you like your pier to serve? List your top three priorities for constructing a new pier.

Consider the following. How will your family be using the pier? Boating, Fishing, Jet Ski’s, Entertaining Family, Friends, and Clients, Water Skiing, Wake Boarding, Boat Storage, or just sitting and relaxing enjoying a beautiful summer sunset on the bay. Children's ages who will utilize the pier are also a consideration. Whatever your preference, the team at Marine Clean can help you design a pier that will brings many years of enjoyment.

Pier Tip
Consider the Material that will be used for your Pier Decking. Choices include traditional treated timber decking, composite material (Trex) and a relatively new material that we love called Ibe. Ipe is an environmentally responsible choice which naturally resist rot, decay, insects, and mold without the use of toxic chemicals used in other decking products. It is naturally fire resistant and has been awarded an “A1’ rating. Ipe is an incredibly strong, dense wood, harvested from naturally sustainable forest only. Ipe has a very high wear durability and is resistant to splintering and checking. Ipe is premier decking product that is second to none. Save on Maintenance, choose Ipe.

Pier Trivia

In the 19th century, Southend was becoming a growing resort for Londoners. The sea at Southend is never very deep even at full tide and recedes for well over a mile at low tide. Because of this large boats were unable to stop at Southend and no boats at all were able to stop at low tide. This meant that many potential visitors would travel past Southend and go to Margate, or other resorts where docking facilities were better. In order to counter this trend local dignitaries pushed for a pier to be built. This would allow boats to reach Southend at all tides. Southend is the longest pleasure pier in the world at 1.34 miles.
